Climate-zone note
San Antonio sits in climate zone 2A on the 2015-era map — hot and humid. For most of the year the moisture drive runs from outside toward the interior, which is the opposite of the cold-climate assumption most published detailing is written around. That single fact governs where the vapour control belongs, how a wall is expected to dry, and why an interior polyethylene layer is the wrong answer here.
