Privacy Policy

Last reviewed September 6, 2026.

Sage Company Holdings LLC ("Sage Co.," "we," "us") designs, builds, and consults on healthy homes in Central Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through sageco.build (the "Site"), our client portal, and our intake process; how we use it; and the choices you have.

A note on health information

We ask about the building, never about anyone's health. We do not ask for, and do not intentionally collect, health conditions, diagnoses, symptoms, or medical history — anywhere in our platform.

We are not a covered entity under HIPAA and do not provide health care. If you send us health information anyway — for example, in a free-text field or a document you upload — we will not use it to provide health care, we do not want it, and we may delete it. Please do not submit protected health information to us.

Information we collect

Contact and intake details. The name, email, and phone number you give us when you start your journey; your building type (new build, remodel, or a set of drawings you want read); and your answers to our six intake questions about the building and project. We ask about the building, never about your health.

Project and property information. Property address, lot and site conditions, plans, specifications, material selections, and documents you or your team upload to your project record.

Account information. The email address and credentials you use to log in to the client portal.

Communications. The content of emails, messages, and call notes between you and Sage Co.

Payment information. When you pay us, the transaction is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the transaction and the last four digits of your card; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Technical logs and analytics. Standard server logs, and first-party, privacy-friendly analytics that count visits and pages viewed on the Site. Our site analytics are served through our own domain (/~api/analytics), do not use third-party cookies, and do not track you across other websites. Note that third-party tools we link to — such as the Stripe payment page or a scheduling tool — may set their own cookies when you open them; those are governed by the provider's own policy.

How we use information

To respond to your inquiry, schedule and hold the free 45-minute call, and confirm it in writing.

To deliver design, build, and consulting services, and to maintain the Sage Co. Record — the permanent build record of what was specified, installed, and verified.

To process payments and issue receipts.

To send transactional messages about your project or account.

To meet legal, contractual, and recordkeeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising.

Service providers

We share information with third parties only as needed to deliver our services:

Hosting for the Site and project data.

Stripe for payment processing.

Transactional email delivery.

Scheduling tools for booking calls.

Mapping and weather data used in design and site work.

Each provider receives only the information needed to perform its function. We use providers under their own terms and, where appropriate, contracts designed to protect the information. We do not transfer your personal data to advertising networks or data brokers.

Data retention

Project records are retained as a permanent build record. The Sage Co. Record is designed to remain readable long after construction, so that what went into your home can still be looked up years later.

Intake and inquiry data is retained for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the inquiry, then deleted or de-identified.

Marketing communications, if you receive any, can be stopped at any time; we remove you from marketing lists when you opt out.

Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and site operation, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

Access, correction, deletion. You may ask what personal data we hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion — subject to our legal and contractual duty to retain project records.

Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe from any marketing email at any time.

Cookies. Our site analytics do not use third-party cookies; you may still block scripts or use private browsing if you prefer.

Your rights under Texas law. Where applicable privacy law — including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA, effective July 1, 2024) — gives you rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, or to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data, we will respond as required. Sage Co. appears to qualify as a small business under the SBA standard; whether the TDPSA applies should be confirmed by counsel, and we will consider and respond to your request either way.

Appeals. If we deny a request and applicable law gives you an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our response with "Appeal" or by contacting us again, and we will respond as required.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We use access controls and enforce permissions server-side, so that only the people who need access to your project data have it, and so that verification states can only be set by an authorized outside verifier. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable technical, physical, and administrative safeguards, and we investigate and respond to suspected incidents affecting personal data.

Location information

We collect property and site addresses for project work, mapping, and weather data. We do not collect continuous device geolocation or track your movements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last reviewed" date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Children

The Site and our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information by mistake, contact us and we will delete it.
