Who we are

Sage Co. is the trade name of Sage Company Holdings LLC, a Texas single-member limited liability company based in Austin, Texas. Jake Rangel is the sole legal owner, one hundred percent. No other person holds equity in the company or authority to bind it.

What we do

Sage Co. is a design-build firm. We plan, specify, and construct homes, and we consult on existing ones, in the Austin–San Antonio I-35 corridor and the Hill Country flank. Design services are performed under the exemption Texas law provides to those who design and build single-family and duplex residences. We do not offer or hold ourselves out as offering services requiring a state design registration, and we do not use any professional title we do not hold.

Independent verification

Independent verification is offered on every build as an optional paid add-on, elected by the client and priced separately. We do not state or imply that every home we build is verified. When a client declines verification, the choice is recorded in a signed release before construction dispatches. A clearance letter is issued only where verification was elected and the applicable thresholds passed.

Evidence grades

Every health-adjacent claim we publish carries one of three grades. Established means consistent, replicated evidence and settled building-science practice. Emerging means real but incomplete evidence, stated with its limits. Unverified means claimed but not substantiated to our standard. Grades attach to individual claims, never to a domain, a product, or a house, and they describe the state of published evidence on the review date shown — they are not performance guarantees.

The EMF domain is graded Emerging wherever it appears. It is never presented as Established and never dismissed as Unverified.

Certifications

We claim no certification we do not currently hold. Building biology training through the IBE is in progress; it is described as in progress and will be described as held only once it is held.

Moisture and mold

Sage Co. does not offer mold assessment, mold testing, or mold remediation services, and is not licensed to do so under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1958. Moisture and Mold is a mitigation domain: we design and build to remove the conditions microbial growth requires, and we report measured conditions such as relative humidity and material moisture content. We do not determine the presence, type, or extent of mold, and we do not guarantee a mold-free home. Where a determination is needed, we refer to a TDLR-licensed assessor.

Health and wellness language

Nothing on this site or in our documents is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a health-outcome promise. We record building requirements, never health conditions, and the platform has no field in which to store one. Where we use the word wellness, it describes a client's own journey and values — never something a building does.

Jurisdiction facts

Code and permitting facts on our service-area pages are transcribed from public sources on the review date shown. Items awaiting confirmation carry a pending-verification marker and must be confirmed with the authority having jurisdiction.
